Sirens

Sirens have the ability to change their appearance by the use of illusions. While their true form is terrifying, they almost always distort themselves to whatever is most attractive to their prey. As legends suggest, they lure humans into waters within their domain, and drown them.

Siren seem to have originated in the Mediterranean sea, hence the many Greek myths surrounding them. Over time, they have spread to any sea or ocean humans regularly traverse. Currently, there are many different ‘breeds’ of Siren, though they all generally behave in the same manner.

Sirens will attempt to lure you by promising your deepest desire. Don’t fall for their trickery. If it’s too good to be true, that means it is, especially if you’re on a cargo ship in the middle of the Atlantic ocean.

The exorcism Sirens requires moving them from the water to dry land, where they will wither and die. Doing so is quite difficult, as the closer one is to their domain, the more tempting their promises become. Specialised equipment and training is usually required to successful dispose of their kind.
