Phages are demons that feed on human emotions. In traditional folklore, these are often identified as Vampires or other similar supernatural beings.
Phages feed off of humans in many different forms. Your classic Vampire, for example, would be called a Aimaphage (blood feeder). The names and food source of the most common phages are the following:

- Aimaphage – blood
- Ponosphage – pain
- Ostophage – bone
- Voulisiphage – willpower
- Fovosphage – fear
There are many others that feed on different aspects of human emotion and biology, but those are the most common. Phages often will attempt to blend in with their surrounding human population for a consistent food source. This is where legends such as that of Count Dracula emerge.
Phages, especially those that are well fed, are often stronger and quicker than the average human. When they decide to prey on an individual, there is little that can be done. However, most phages do not kill their victims. Instead they’ll feed until they are satisfied, and leave their victims.
The exorcism of Phages requires a targeted attack on the part of the body that represents that which they feed on. This is why a stake through the heart can kill Aimaphages- the heart is that which pumps blood, thus it is a representation of their appetite for blood. Due to their superior strength and agility, it usually will take a group of hunters to subdue and exorcise a Phage from existence. It is recommended that one does not attempt such a feat without aid from an experienced group of hunters.
