Wendigos are a rare and powerful type of demon. They are a purely physical creature, putting them into the class of cryptids. They are large, bipedal creatures, with hooved feet, clawed hands, and a hunched back, and large elk-like antlers. While their diet usually consists of medium sized animals, they prefer human meat, and seek it out endlessly. Their hunger can never be satisfied.
When you feel a sudden chill, and a foul stench permeates the air, you know a wendigo is near. Without specialised equipment and extensive training, your best bet is to stay out of sight and make as little noise as possible. Stealth is your friend. If they see or hear you, all you can do is pray for a speedy death. You won’t receive one.
Exorcising wendigos requires a high-level banishing circle. This is a very complex technique, that often requires multiple trained individuals. It is also well outside the scope of this article. Do not attempt this without the proper know-how.
